Presenting at Eurotherm Seminar #119

During 13th – 15th May, at Lleida in Spain, the Eurotherm seminar #119: “Contribution of thermal energy storage towards decarbonization” happened.

The presence of 4TunaTES was done by three partners!

Hyerin (TU/e) who had an oral presentation during the event with the title: “Tuning thermodynamic properties of salt hydrates via solid solution for TES”

She presented the research on overcoming the inflexibility of thermochemical heat storage materials. The study utilized salt solid solutions to achieve linear control over reaction onset temperatures and identifies the critical miscibility gaps that cause phase segregation.

Antonio (CNR) who had a poster presentation entitled “Design and experimental testing of TPMS-based 3D-printed heat exchangers for thermochemical energy storage manufactured”

And Mohammad (VUB) who also had a presentation entitled: “A Systematic Computational Screening for Discovery of Low-Cost, Sustainable Thermochemical Heat Storage Materials”

He presented about his work on advanced computational screening to analyze more than 600,000 materials and identify 48 promising sustainable candidates for thermochemical heat storage.

They enjoyed it a lot and were able to network with different researchers and get some feedback for their projects during the event!

Stay tuned for more updates on our researchers activities!
