- In October 22nd we had our consortium meeting at CNR in Messina, IT; hosted by our CNR partner.
We discussed project progress on all WPs, challenges for the incoming period linked to the achievement of milestones and we had two great workshops organized by DLR on the proof of concept design as well as materials selection led by CIIAE. At the end of the day we visited labs and facilities at CNR to check out their exciting experiments!
To close it up, we had a great work dinner afterwards, with lots of discussions and networking with external speakers!
- Then on the 23rd, we had the great opportunity to meet with different European projects on the subject of Thermal Energy Storage. In the workshop named: “4TunaTES meets its brothers and sisters – creating synergy between EU-funded initiatives on thermal energy”, hosted by CNR, Valeria Palomba (our partner member) organized and chaired the sessions where nice discussions happened.
We kicked off with the director of CNR (Antonio Salvatore Aricó) highlighting the facilities and different research going the institute, followed by our project leader Henk Huinink explaining the concept of the 4TunaTES project, followed by the EIC ambassador Antonio Marco Pantaleo who shared his experiences with the research on the energy storage topic.
We were happy to meet with the projects representatives: SUSHEAT, ThumbsUp, HYSTORE PROJECT EU, THUNDER, PARMENIDES Project, CHARCOOL EU, MATEES-UniRC group, NEREHYDES Project, LObSTER project (PRIN2022 PNRR), WADERE and ATOL Project.
